How long have you guys been doing this?
We have been around in one form or another for many earth moons and opened the storefront to myPhoneMD’s precursor in March of 2009. Then, somewhere around 3:13 am on September 14, 2009, we decided to bring our special brand of love to the world. These days, myPhoneMD now operates 7 locations across Louisiana, 1 in South Carolina and growing by the minute. Best of all, we’ll be expanding the reach of our service in the next few months as new stores open nationwide.

Exactly how many iPhones have you guys worked on?
Believe it or not, we have saved every screen that we have replaced, both Digitzer and LCDs.  If you are talking about only screen replacements and only iPhones, we are right around 8900+ and counting.  If you include all handsets and all repairs performed, we estimate that we have serviced around 28,000+ devices total.

How long can I expect to be without my phone?
myPhoneMD offers the absolute fastest turnaround time available on iPhone 3G, 3GS and 4G repairs.  If you have cracked glass, a defective touchscreen or busted LCD, you can expect to be in and out in around 10 minutes.  Most everything else (aside from water damage) carries turnaround time of about 30 minutes.

But there is this guy on Craigslist who says he will fix my screen for 30 bucks!  What gives?
We get this one all the time.  If you want to go sit in the Wal-Mart parking lot for 45 minutes while some cat with a hair dryer and a butter knife dismantles your $500+ dollar pocket computer and slaps $4.00 worth of (bad) knockoff parts on your smartphone with Elmer’s paste—then go on with your bad self.  Call around. We have a sparkling reputation… and warranties.

You guys go on and on about OEM.  What in the world are you talking about?
OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. This means that we only use parts produced by the same manufacturers that produce the original parts and are manufactured to the same excruciating quality standards. In the rare example that OEM is unavailable we used the highest quality 3rd party components which are always covered by the same warranty and service standards. We will never stick you with cut-rate-nastified-knock-off components—guaranteed.  Just ask us and we’ll be more than happy to show you the difference.

Do you guys provide any kind of a warranty?
The short answer: Yes, and it’s the best of its kind. For more detailed warranty information you can refer to our Warranty Policy found here.  We provide 1 full year against all defect and workmanship with no questions asked.

Will I lose any of my precious data?
In the normal course of hardware related repair and service you stand about a 0.00063% chance of data loss, so the short answer is no. If you bring your device in and it’s experiencing software related issues, has been the victim of improper jail-breaking techniques or has been swimming, then all bets are off. But we promise to fight for your data.

AAAAHHHH!!! I don’t live in near a myPhoneMD!  Can you still help me?
Don’t worry your pretty little head. If you don’t want to wait for one of our Smartphone ERs to open closer to you, then you can easily get your device to us through our mail-in service. Please refer to our mail-in instructions under Support/Contact for detailed directions and shipping options. We will get your device back out the door lickety-split, but overnight shipping is on you. For most cases, we get the device in and out the same day.

If Doc Brown showed up at myPhoneMD tomorrow and said, “You’ve got to come back with me…back…to the future!” Where would you go?
I’d go to the past and tell the younger Doc that he’s got to come back with ME to the future so I could inconvenience him some too. I mean, he shows up at my store—uninvited—saying I have to go with him right then and there. I’ve got work to do and phones to save. What’s the rush? He’s got a time machine. It’s not like the future is going anywhere. Couldn’t we at least get lunch first? Then again, I’d probably just go to the future and pickup that sweet hover board.
