A new approach to gather customer shopping habits is also in the works. Euclid Elements technology uses sensors to triangulate each smartphone’s unique Wi-Fi address within 60 yards of the store. Without accessing data on the phone, it will only record the unique Wi-Fi identifer to track how long a person stays in different areas of the store.
